Earth breathing meditation

This breathing meditation technique encourages us to return gratitude and thanks to the earth for all that it does and is.
During the practice we visualise drawing up energy, healing, power (or whatever you need) from the earth via one foot up to the heart, and returning our love, gratitude and thanks to planet Earth down through the other leg and foot.
The breathing practice can be done indoors or outdoors. If you are able to be outside and bare foot you will feel even more connection with the earth, but it's also ok to do it sitting indoors upstairs in socks with your feet on carpet (just visualise a bit harder!).

I was introduced to this practice during a shamanic yoga session led by Chelsea Canovas at a retreat for yoga teachers in the Lake District.
