This short guided audio track takes you through 3-4-5 breathing, and has a sound track as well as my narration.
The 3-4-5 breathing technique features a longer exhale, which helps to switch us into our relaxation response, and can help relax the nervous system and calm the mind.
We breath in for a count of 3, hold for a count of 4, and breath out for a count of 5. You can use ujjayi breathing (the slight throat constriction) to help manage the breath, or, reduce the numbers to suit your breath but keep the pattern the same, so the exhale is the longest part.
